Past EPlex News Items 3/28/08: "Scaffolding for Interactively Evolving Drum Tracks for Existing Songs ," by Amy K. Hoover, Michael P. Rosario, and Kenneth O. Stanley won the Best Paper Award at the Sixth European Workshop on Evolutionary and Biologically Inspired Music, Sound, Art and Design (EvoMUSART 2008). 11/8/07: EPlex releases Dance Evolution, which allows you to evolve dancers to any MIDI song interactively. 8/1/07: EPlex unveils Picbreeder, a massive experiment in online collaborative interactive evolution. In Picbreeder, the user can branch of other users' creations to produce an expanding "tree of life" of novel images.
